Gary Conelly

In addition to being the University of Kentucky Head Swimming Coach, Coach Conelly has taken on the role of voluntary advisor for Wildcat Aquatics. As the advisor to WA, coach Conelly oversees the general operations of the team, ensuring the best age group program possible.

Gary is in his ninth year as the head coach of UK men's and women's swimming program. Coach Conelly has taken the Wildcats to uncharted swimming success and continues to lead UK towards NCAA recognition.

In the 1995-96 season, Gary led the women's team to a 14th place finish at NCAA's, the highest in school history. In the 1997-98 season, the men achieved their highest finish of 24th place.

On the Southeastern Conference level UK is a threat and looking for championship status. The women's team earned a 3rd place SEC finish in 1999, the highest in school history, while the men attained 7th place. In addition, Coach Conelly was recognized as SEC coach of the Year in 1995.
